ANKO's SD-97 Series Automatic Encrusting and Forming Machines are recommended for producing raw chocolate crinkle cookie balls. These machines are designed to process various types of dough with different moisture content, viscosity and textures, including chocolate dough mixed with flour, sugar, cocoa powder and other raw ingredients and produce individual pieces of raw cookie dough. The patterned molds and/or generic shutters that can be applied to the machines, to form uniformed products into customized shapes; the product sizes can be adjusted from 15 g up to 200 g per piece. SD-97SS, SD-97W and SD-97L come in different sizes and specifications, suitable for different size production plants, factories or central kitchens.
Or we'd recommend you ANKO's GD-18 Series Automatic Cutting and Rounding Machine, to form spherical cookie dough balls, ranging from 8mm-20mm in diameter. To complete the production line, we recommend ANKO's sprinkling equipment to final coat the chocolate balls with powdered sugar.

About Chocolate Crinkle

Chocolate crinkle cookies are dark chocolate brownie-like cookies coated with creases of white powdered sugar on the surface; some believe that the recipe originated from the Dutch or German Christmas cookies. The cookie dough is made with unsweetened cocoa powder, sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, vanilla extract, flour and baking soda; the dough is usually chilled for at least 4 hours before baking, and a thin layer of confectioner's sugar is coated before putting the cookie dough balls into the oven. After baking, the cookies will form irregular cracks on the powder-sugared surface; after chilling to room temperature, chocolate crinkle cookies are great to serve with coffee, tea or a scoop of ice cream.
