The cookie dough is made with unsweetened cocoa powder, sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, vanilla extract, flour and baking soda; the dough is usually chilled for at least 4 hours before baking, and a thin layer of confectioner's sugar is coated before putting the cookie dough balls into the oven.
