Cham cham or chomchom, is a type of traditional Bengali sweet originated from Bangladesh, Tangail and Porabari. The main ingredients for making cham cham include wheat and/or fine semolina flour, chhana (fresh milk curd) and sugar; after combining all the ingredients into smooth dough, it’s divided and formed into small oval shaped pieces and boiled in sugar syrup before serving. Cham cham can be made into different colors or covered with shredded coconuts; it’s a pretty popular dessert in Bangladesh and India.
